DETAILED NOTES ON ND:CE:YAG CRYSTAL

Radiation induced recharging of Ce3+ and Ce4+ ions in Ce and Nd doped yttrium-aluminium garnet crystals was observed. This effect relies on the Ce3+ ion focus and the type of ionizing radiation.Improved 2.86 µm emission equivalent to Ho³�? ⁵I6→⁵I7 was attained in Nd³�?Ho³�?codoped CaLaGa3O7 crystal for the first time.
